Client: Spicers Wealth Management

The investment advisers (www.spicers.co.nz) used TXT2GET keyword ‘tax’ across a talk back radio campaign to promote registrations for a tax/investment advice paper. 3 times more people texted to get it than called the 0800 number and 2 times more texted than went to the web site. A total of 550 leads were generated – 307 through TXT2GET. The campaign demonstrated that ‘investment age’ people will text to get information.

The mobile telco (www.bw.co.nz) uses TXT2GET extensively across radio, TV and print. It has been so successful, it has dropped the 0800 number and web site from ads, and only uses the text keyword ‘black’ as the response mechanism. This results in higher response rate, particularly in the evening/night when people are reluctant to call or go to web sites. It allows the company to tweak creative and placement to get best results. 27,000 leads to date have been received.

The New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) ran a recruitment drive for new fire fighters and volunteers. It wanted to get people along to demonstration days that they could take part in. It advertised across radio using the keyword ‘fire’. NZFS received 911 responses.
